How Lindsay met Phil

So this is the Story Of How I Met My Husband
Meet Lindsay

I Moved from Southern California to Snowy Utah in the fall of 2008 to attend school at Weber State University. I had so many fun experiences and made so many long lasting friendships that I could never forget. after about 2 years of living in Ogden Utah, I met an amazing group of people who lived in Bountiful, and I absolutely loved hanging out with these people. I began spending my weekends there and started attending their singles ward. Pretty soon, I was convinced, (and guided by Heavenly Father of course) to move to bountiful. I soon found a job and began attending school in Salt Lake. I hung out with my good friends and even got a calling in my new ward as the music director! All the while living in Utah, I had dated (of course! it's Utah) but nothing had ever felt right. I was beginning to feel alone, like I couldn't find my place. So in the Winter of 2010, I started my preparing to go on a mission!

Enter Phil.

Phil had returned from a ASL Mission in Washington D.C in January of 2010 and moved out to Utah to attend LDS Business College. He moved in with his Aunt and started attending the same singles ward as I was in because he had a friend in the ward. Phil was very much so into sports, especially any team from San Francisco. He was a very funny guy, and enjoyed a good laugh. Phil Had dated a few girls since being home from his mission, but no one had stood out. But he wasn't in a rush. Now the story gets a little muttled here, but according to Phil, The first time he saw me was the first Sunday I conducted the music For Sacrament meeting. according to various sources, Phil thought i was "hot" and "have to get a date with her". this was back when I first moved into the ward... 6 months before he even asked me out! ( I Know right?!)

So what took Phil so long? Well, we will never know exactly. He says it was because I intimidated him and he was scared. But I think Heavenly father was trying to teach me a few things before introducing Phil Into my life.

So the Day finally came! Phil asked me out! How you ask? Facebook message. I didn't mind though. I was focusing on a mission and wasn't looking for anything serious. All I knew was Phil was in my ward and was pretty funny.Plus I could always use a free meal.

Well I was wrong about one thing...This wasn't just a free meal.

I became increasingly attached to Phil. there was something there that I hadn't felt with any other guy. I felt like my own self. I didn't feel the need to impress him in anyway! He made me happy regardless of what we did.
Phil knew almost immediately that he loved me, while with me, I struggled to know what exactly I was feeling, until one day I blurted out exactly what i felt and that's when I knew this was the man I was going to marry.

Phil proposed to me in Park City Utah, after traveling to California to meet my parents and sisters. (that was a heart attack) We had a 6 month engagement which was so much torture on us! We wanted so badly to be married, but knew how important a temple marriage was to us and our families. There were alot of struggles between us and our families during that time, but it all came together for what was the Best day of our lives.

We were married in the Newport Beach Temple on October 15,2011 surrounded by our family and closest friends. SO much of that day was a blur, but I do know this... I knew that I had done exactly what my Heavenly Father wanted and I knew I was with the right man. all through that day, I couldn't stop smiling at my now husband, and how happy I was to have him by my side through all eternity.

Shortly after being married, we added Boomer the Basset Hound to our family. He has been nothing but a joy in our lives.
